Tissue Lab: Relate and review

In this lab I learned how the different tissues look under a microscope and at different magnification. I also learned how the different tissues have different structure based on where and what they do for the Body. Some connections i made between tissues is that all the epithelial tissues have different layering and cell sizes based on where they are. Like the stratified columnar epithelial is found in the epiglottis, aorta, and in some glands. This is because the thick layering of the epithelial make it harder to expand. In muscle tissue the smooth muscle tissue looks more strung out and expanded rather than the cardiac muscle. According to botany, muscle tissue has the ability to relax and contrast to bring movement and mechanical work to parts of the body. Where as Connective tissue according to SIU School of Medicine, the function is to transport and growth and repair. this shows that different tissues play different roles threw out the body.
