In the falcon market some of the results i uncovered in the Gi Index was that a meal of 3 eggs, 3 cups of spinach, 1 avocado can have a Gi index of 436.17 which is actually a high index. The Glycemic load is the serving size of food and how many calories it has. My food tracker nutrition looked "ok", my days were i ate lunch at home looked a lot better than the day i ate out. some of the things i noticed was that my sodium and protein were over, but i took into consideration the amount of weightlifting and football i do during the day and it think that amount of protein can help me build muscle mass and maintain a good diet. I think my carbo load can be worked on especially when my body craves carbs after a work out, i think i should work on lowering that amount and substitute with veggies or fruit. My BMI as of right now is a 27.5 which is categorized as over weight. The calculation doesn't include muscle and bone size, but the reading is still concerning. I think if i lower my calorie intake everyday i will be able to successfully loose weight. "easier said than done". if i had the opportunity to teach health to someone i think i would preach the fact that some foods can trick you into thinking they are healthy for you and sometimes eating to much of one thing can be unhealthy. variety and food in the right portion can create a good balance of overall health.
